Can you manage a design team while contributing to the growth strategy of the design department as a whole? If your answer is yes, you might be the design lead we're looking for.
You will shape how the design department works to maximize efficiency and streamline processes, while encouraging design innovation at gtlogic. It begins with staying up-to-date on design research, latest trends, methodologies and technologies, which are then translated into design guidelines for us to use as a guiding light, making sure we’re always working according to the latest standards and best practices. You will be the guardian of the gtlogic brand, developing it to ensure it represents our evolving identity.
You will play a key role in hiring new recruits, and manage their first steps at gtlogic. Furthermore, your role includes breaking down deliverables into manageable tasks and delegating them to different designers within the team, providing feedback and support, and evaluating their performance. To be able to achieve this we expect you to already have a deep knowledge of the creative process and how to successfully lead it.
You can manage clients well, meeting with them to identify their needs, keeping them up-to-date, and responding to their questions, while overseeing the design process from start to finish and ensuring that the deliverables live up to gtlogic’s standards and the client’s requirements. This of course includes effectively presenting and defending you and your team’s designs to the clients. You will be working in a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with engineers and other stakeholders to resolve bottlenecks and guarantee on-time delivery of any project.
You’re knowledgeable in design, both in a UI/UX role and multidisciplinary design. You've been working in the tech industry for more than 7 years and as a UI/UX designer for 5+.
You’ve already worked in an agile software development environment and are accustomed to the rapid feedback loops it entails.
You’re multilingual, fluent in English, with Arabic, French, Spanish or other languages being a plus.
You love dogs (yours are welcome at the office) and love solving lunch-time riddles with the team!
You’ll have the chance to demonstrate your strategic thinking, analytical mindsets and problem solving skills. Your constant drive for learning and self-improvement will pay off through the many opportunities we provide our staff for personal and professional growth. Your autonomy in managing your own time and tasks efficiently, balanced with personal accountability gives you the freedom to do things your way. You’ll be in an environment where good judgment and sound decision-making are appreciated and required to hit performance goals and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
We expect an impressive quality of work with positive client feedback, delivered on time and on budget.
A healthy work environment is sacred and we expect everyone to contribute to that in a productive manner.
We expect you to motivate the design team, ensure they are constantly growing, and performing as expected.
